We all have a responsibility to protect our resources and use them wisely. Conserving water helps save money, and the more efficiently you use it, the more you get out of each gallon that you purchase. This means you pay less without sacrificing any of the benefits.

California is currently experiencing one of the most severe droughts on record. Now, more than ever, it is important to prevent water waste. SBMWD is working hard to provide you, our customer, the tools and resources to help you become water efficient.

State Water Board Extends Conservation Regulations, Local Water Conservation Efforts Continue

On February 8th, 2017, the State Water Resources Control Board approved an extension of water conservation regulations through the end of November, 2017. These regulations prohibit wasteful water uses and set conservation goals to ensure water providers have adequate water supplies to last for at least three years.

Even with recent changes in weather conditions across the state, it is essential that we continue our water conservation efforts and do what is responsible for the health of our resources. Despite the much needed rainfall we have received over the last few months, many areas in California, including San Bernardino, are still experiencing some level of drought.
